Position: RN - Wound Care

Location: Bronx, NY

Shift: 10:00 AM-6:00 PM

Pay Range:

Local: up to $83/hr

Travel: Up to $3300/week

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Wound Care RN to provide specialized care for patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence-related conditions. The nurse will conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement preventive measures, and educate patients, families, and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and document wounds, ostomies, fistulas, and continence-related conditions.
• Develop and evaluate individualized plans of care and wound prevention strategies.
• Assess patients at risk for pressure injuries and implement preventive interventions.
• Educate patients, families, and clinical staff on wound care and complication prevention.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote best clinical practices.
• Monitor wound care equipment and supplies, including specialty beds and negative-pressure wound therapy devices.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Active New York State RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Wound care and colostomy experience.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current certification in at least one of the following:
• CWOCN – Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse
• CWON – Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse
• CWCN – Certified Wound Care Nurse
• CWS – Certified Wound Specialist
• WCC – Wound Care Certified
